AKA, Tibz' murder trial: State questions payments made to the accused
Arguments for bail continueed in Durban Magistrates Court on Friday for five men linked to the high-profile case.

JOHANNESBURG - The State in the murder case of rapper Kiernan Forbes and his friend Tebello Motsoane has questioned payments made to the accused in the matter.
On Friday, arguments for bail continued for the five men linked to the high-profile case in the Durban Magistrates Court
Last month, the court heard how accused number four Mziwethemba Gwabeni paid some of his co-accused over R130,000.

During a previous court appearance, Gwabeni - through his affidavit - said some of the co-accused worked for him.
Gwabeni claims the payments were for late salaries, however, the State strongly believes they are payments linked to the murder case.
The prosecution is not convinced of the reasons given for the payments by the defence.
State prosecutor advocate Lawrence Gcaba told the court something was amis.
"If I work as a driver, the other one a security and the other one a mechanic, equal amounts of money? I’m owing all of you equal amounts of money? It doesn’t make sense.”
