ATM vows to provide quality public healthcare if victorious at polls

JOHANNESBURG - The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has promised to provide quality public healthcare in the country, which includes prioritising food inspectors, should they be elected into power.
The political party launched its manifesto at the Soweto Amphitheatre as election day approaches.
Party leader, Vuyolwethu Zungula, said people relying on public healthcare should receive the same quality of services as those getting services from the private sector.
He said there was a need for more food inspectors in the country following the death of multiple people from suspected food poisoning.
"We have a problem of fake foods that are killing our children. People in our country are being poisoned deliberately, that is why we are saying let the government employ all environmental health practitioners."
Meanwhile, in the west of Johannesburg, the Azanian People's Organisation (AZAPO) also outlined its plans for the country should it emerge victorious at the polls on 29 May.
It vowed to create job opportunities for the country's citizens.
