CAPE TOWN - Police Minister Bheki Cele has vowed to ensure that missing six-year-old Joshlin Smith found.

Cele was addressing residents at White City in Saldanha on Saturday, the 12th day since the little girl went missing from her home.

Cele committed to deploying all resources for the search. 

Saldanha Bay residents have been engaged in a frantic search for Joshlin since she was reported missing.

Cele has pleaded with residents to allow authorities space to do their work.

“We have brought the deputy national commissioner, detectives, the provincial commissioner and provincial head of detectives here. The case is taken very seriously indeed. There’s information, I guess there’s progress. We must leave it there.”

At the same time, police have requested for anyone with information to come forward.
